Chagossian cultural sessions get started this Saturday

Several Chagossian community groups are coming together over the next few months to run Chagossian cultural classes and activities in Crawley.

The classes will focus on traditional Chagossian sega music, dancing and other cultural activities. The first classes start this Saturday (23 September) at the Meeting Room, Bewbush Centre from 4pm to 6pm. The sessions will run till March 2018 and perhaps even longer. It is open to any interested Chagossian.

The sessions are being organised by a collaboration of Chagos Refugee Group UK (CRG UK), Diego Garcia and Chagos Islands Council (DGCIC) and Crawley British Chagossian Community (CBCC)
